Welcome! This site is an on-line photographic field guide to the marine waters around the Antarctic Peninsula and South Georgia Island. The site is still under construction, but there are already over 900 images of Antarctic marine species included, taxonomically organized. In the near future, as the next step in construction, detailed captions for each image will be added. Please remember that all identifications are based on gross physical characteristics and should be considered tentative.
